There are many different reasons that you may consider joining this organization, but the one promise that we can make is that your hours spent serving as a JA member will be valuable ones and will help make our community a better place for all children and families while enriching your life in return. 

Our recruitment and nomination process runs from June until the first training in August.  We will present two informational events which allow you to hear about all that we do and what your commitments would be to join. Be sure to check our FACEBOOK to receive reminders about when these events will be!

Provisional Pearl Timeline:

July- Join us for one of two Informational Events about joining. Please RSVP to  provisionaltrainer@jaofruston.org

We would love to see you there!

August- If you choose to make the commitment to serve in Junior Auxiliary, we will have the chapter vote on all new members. If voted in, you will attend your 1st Training, location/date/time to be determined. AT THIS MEETING, YOU WILL NEED TO PAY YOUR PROVISIONAL DUES AT THIS TIME.

September- This month we will officially welcome and honor you with a Provisional Reception. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet many of the life, associate, & active members.

October- You will attend your 2nd Training. At this meeting, we will begin discussing ideas for the Provisional Project. The Provisional Project is a wonderful time to teamwork with fellow provisional members to plan a meaningful service project of your own. Click Here to read about previous classes and projects!

November- You will attend your 3rd Training. At this meeting we will decide on a Provisional Project to begin planning.

December- No provisional training this month because of the holidays, but we will continue to work on the Provisional Project!

January- You will attend your 4th Training. We will continue to work on the Provisional Project!

February- You will attend your 5th Training. Finalizing Provisional Project plans.

March- You will attend your Final Training. You will be able to sign up to Chair or Co-Chair an existing project for the next service year.

April- You will be officially voted in as Active Members if you complete all the training!! We will have a special Provisional Dinner to celebrate!

May- End of Year Celebration with all of the Chapter! This meeting we will present all end of year awards and say goodbye to members who have completed their 5 year service commitment! It's a very fun time!

SPECIAL NOTES:

*Must be 21 years of age to join!

As life sometimes goes, you may not make it to every scheduled Provisional Training, so please note that make up trainings will be offered throughout the year.

Your full commitment to JA will require that you complete Provisional Training from August-May, then serve as an Active Member for 5 years. Provisional Dues will be collected at the first provisional training in August and Active Yearly Dues  will be collected in April for each upcoming year. 

All throughout your training you will have opportunities and we will encourage that you participate in our existing service & finance projects. It is also a requirement that you attend 2/3 of the Monthly Chapter Meetings. We meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at 6pm at Origin Bank (across from Super 1 Foods). Through your training, chapter meetings, provisional project, and volunteering with existing projects, you will truly experience what being a part of JA is all about. The children and families you serve throughout this journey will make an incredible impact on your life! And to top it off, you will meet some amazing ladies who have the same passion and many of them will become your life long friends!!
