For the Heart & Sole project, Junior Auxiliary of Ruston works to provide new tennis shoes to preschool age students in Lincoln Parish. This year we were excited to learn that our chapter was awarded a grant from Jonesboro State Bank. This grant allowed us to provide new tennis shoes to over 250 students at Headstart and Dubach Elementary. Thank you Jonesboro State Bank and all those involved with this amazing project! 

2021

Junior Auxiliary of Ruston’s 2020-2021 Provisional Class chose “Heart & Sole,” a tennis shoe drive as their Provisional Project. Their goal was to meet the need they saw in small children, needing tennis shoes. Junior Auxiliary of Ruston donated these new shoes to pre-school children in Lincoln Parish. Drop off locations were arranged at Anytime Fitness, Chamber of Commerce, Christ Church – Ruston, First National Bank, Martin Presence Group, and O’Nealgas, Inc between the dates of January 25th – February 12th, 2021.  The Provisional Class was able to deliver 44 pairs of new shoes to children nominated by their teachers. Heart & Sole was voted in as an official service project in 2021.
